On behalf of the Pacific Rim Jazz Festival, we would like to Thank you for supporting our event this year. All in all, it was a big success. We far surpassed the money we raised last year for The Kapolei Foundation and most of the feedback were all positive. We do acknowledge that with the change in venue we experienced our share of problems but nothing that can't be overcome. In the end, the comments we received were that the artists and line up were great. That's what is important to us, the music!!! I also understand as an artist myself the issues of sound. Ballrooms are always a challenge acoustically but our production staff has addressed those issues and we are already making plans to work with the center to improve everything for next year. This was the first major festival event ever held there and with that there is always a learning curve.
Our plans for the future is to build this event into a multi-national and cultural experience that will feature our best local talent in conjunction with bringing you top international performers. With your continued support we can reach those goals. To all of our jazz and music fans we also want to bring the major jazz festival experience to you in your own back yard with out having to fly elsewhere. We do make a major effort to listen to you, the fans, to make things better. We also welcome any feedback on who you would like to see perform. See you all at The Pacific Rim Jazz Festival 2012!
Stay tuned to Apaulomusic.com for our future smooth jazz events coming to the islands!
Warmest Aloha,
Michael Paulo
